"the reason for the season"

at one point during the wedding preparation, a couple of the bridesmaids and I were admitting to the fact that Claire Michelle Cain is a pretty big deal and that she deserved all of the sweat and man hours we put into making goodies for the big day (thank you brett for actually keeping yours-- greatly appreciated). I declared that we should be honored to work with/ spend time with her, as she was the reason for the season.
I am aware that my comment was slightly blasphemous and that Claire was far from bridezilla, but I dont think all of the hours we spent together would have been nearly as enjoyable without everyones sarcastic additions.
truly, though, it was such an honor to be part of Claire and Matthew's wedding. they are such an amazing couple. they never fail to make me laugh or remind me that i should be continually pursuing Christ.
not only was it really enjoyable to spend time with the Cain and Teter families, but it was also fun to have so many of our friends in town for the wedding. it made me love utah more than I already do.

me, kelli, the bride, and mel at the Cain family party.

me and liz. second summer in a row that we have been bridesmaids together... sure hope it doesnt turn into some sick trend.

we were pretty impressive on the dance floor. the picture doesnt do us justice i promise.

she is fantastic. thats all i have to say.

It is so awesome to be able to attend a wedding where so many people, including the bride and groom, have such a love for Christ, and it shines throughout the whole party. I was glad I was there.

Hi Julie! I hope this isn't creepy. I'm wasting time at work looking at Claire's friends' blogs. It was awesome getting to spend time with you this weekend. :)

i am so over this blog. for as rarely as i read blogs... you disappoint me with your even rarer posting efforts.

i know this is harsh, but sometimes we're called to tough love.
